We're also going to do a silent auction for a certificate for Free Friday Night Crops for a YEAR with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. This has a value up to $500 (if you were to come every Friday that we have a crop). It's a tax deductible donation (cash, check or credit card). Stop in the store between today (July 24) and July 31 at 8pm to bid on this! The winner will be announced after 8pm on July 31st.

The winners of last weekend's Quickutz Saturday drawings were: Anne Diedrick (Mademoiselle Font), Kathy Wood ($50 in product) and Jeannie Artley ($50 in product). Congratulations!

SOME of what we saw at CHA, on day 1!

Here's the new LOVE Revolution from Quickutz that will be shipping in September or October. It's retail price will be $159.99. It will cut ALL dies that are out on the market from other companies as well as all of the Quickutz dies. It's electronic too! There are also pictures of the new storage system from that will accomodate the 12" border dies, 4x4 revolution dies, 2x2 dies, cookie cutters, and the new 4x8 alpha dies. You can see the 4x8 die with one of the alphas...all of the letters are on one die for that one (it's a unicase).

I'll post more pictures later (tonight or tomorrow probably). We LOVED the new Bazzill releases. They have some great new papers as well as some new strips, in stitch'z, chipboard......I don't remember what else! We are ordering new Reminisce (Winter and Halloween), My Mind's Eye (Glitter papers!), and that's just a tease. Have a good day!

Quickutz New Releases from CHA, and Quickutz Saturday in the store this weekend!!!!!!

Ok here's the deal.....I am writing this post at 10pm, posting it at 9am on Friday, and at this point, I still won't know what the REALLY big new release is from Quickutz (they are keeping it a secret even from the retailers until the show starts!). UGH! The anticipation! We'll be adding to this post as soon as we get a minute to dig out the laptop and find an internet connection at the show! This is what we know at this point:

Quickutz is releasing 12 new fonts. Some are Cookie Cutter, some 2x2, and some 4x8 (I guess that means you will want to be picking up a 12" platform if you haven't already!). They range in price from $49.99 to $129.99. Isn't that great!?! Finally, new 2x2 fonts that are more reasonably priced than the previous ones. I know people have been wondering why we had clearanced out all of our old 2x2 alphas, and this is why! They knew people wanted 2x2 alphas but they needed to make the prices more comparable to the new cookie cutter alpha pricing.

You won't be disappointed!

Go to www.quickutz.com today to see the new released fonts (if they aren't there right away, check back later in the day). Maybe you will beat me, and you can see the BIG SECRET RELEASE before I even get it posted! I'd attach pictures, but the files I have are not in the correct format to post on the blog.

We're having Quickutz Saturday on this Saturday, July 19th at the store. We will be preselling/preordering all of the fonts  at this time. Because we are a platinum store, we will be among the first to receive our order of the new releases.

Specials: Saturday:

30% off all regular priced in stock Quickutz and ALL of the new releases (with prepayment). 30% off the 12" platform, and you will also get the 12" heart border if you purchase the platform ($24.99 value, while supplies last). For every $10 you spend in Quickutz on Saturday, you get entered in to the drawing for some of the products from the previous 2 releases, as well as the new fonts (to be determined!). If you preorder/prepay for a new release font, you will get another ticket.

Friday and Sunday: You can preorder/prepay for the alpha new releases from CHA and get the 30% off, but you won't get entered into the drawing. We want to get a good idea of how many of these to order, and which ones seem to be favorites.

The Revolution tool is still $59.99 through July, and the Squeeze tool is $29.99. Don't wait too long on these deals because we won't be able to offer them at these prices for very long! No further discounts apply to these specials.

More pictures of new products

As promised, here are some more of the latest arrivals in the store. We started getting some of our huge Creative Imaginations order yesterday, and there will probably be shipments for the next couple days as well, from them. 

Don't forget we have a LOT of clearance paper in our backroom. It was time to purge the store of older papers to make room for the new ones. I found a few that I hadn't even seen before! I wonder if I was sleeping last summer when I was counting paper for inventory? There are also quite a few Quickutz dies and alphas on clearance. This is your last chance for the 2x2 alphas because they are discontinuing the current ones and have plans for new ones. What we have is all we can get. We do have a couple of the Grand 4x4 Blossom alphas that Spence found for us. These were discontinued last winter.

Looks like Reminisce still hasn't shipped. That is a really fun release (3 new releases actually). You can go check out the lines at DESIGNS BY REMINISCE We ordered all of the new stuff....Signature Series, Est. 1776, and Freedom Collection 4. I'm crossing my fingers it will come sometime next week at this point.

New Making Memories: Animal Crackers & Embellishments

  We have the new release from Making Memories in the store now. There are two collections of Animal Crackers: Baby Boy (Jack) & Baby Girl (Ella) as well as new epoxy shapes, glitter clears, and other embellishments. Here are a bunch of pics of everything:

Here are some of the pics of Dora's version of the 6x6 binder album by Bo Bunny. You can do any theme you want, but this gives you some ideas. The class is $20, and includes the binder album, some embellishments, and 4 sheets of patterned paper to get you started. Join Dora on Tuesday, April 8th at 6:00 for some fun!

Bo Bunny class, Quickutz Release & New Product links

Quickutz came out with a great release yesterday. If you travel, would like to travel, or have lived in other states or countries, these dies will come in very handy! They came up with individual state dies for all of the USA, plus some country dies and Cookie Cutter Collection sets. These have already sold well in our store! The states are limited edition, meaning when the warehouse runs out, they won't be making more! Now is a great time to get them at Mementos too, because our monthly sale includes Buy 2, Get 1 FREE on all regular priced Quickutz. If you can't make it in to the store, make up your list, call the store, and we can hook you up! We will either ship your stuff to you or you can pick it up at your convenience, knowing that you didn't miss out on any of the states you wanted, if they sell out.

Here are some links for the new Diecuts With A View that we got in last Friday. My favorite thing they came out with was the solid glitter cardstocks. If you are one of the customers who have been wanting more glitz than the Bazzill Bling cardstock can give you, then this is for you! SOLID GLITTER.....wow! We got all 10 colors!

Travel: We only got the paper stacks of this collection, and now that I look at the papers, I wonder why! We'll be getting the papers in the future as well, they look great!

Dora will be doing a class next Tuesday evening (April 8th) at 6pm. You may have seen her Bo Bunny 6x6 Binder Album in the store, that she did of her dog, Kirby. There have been many requests for a class with this album. The class cost is $20 and includes the binder, some embellishments (ribbons, paints etc) and 4 sheets of patterned paper of your choice. You can make this album in any theme you want so it will be truly yours! Bring in any embellishments you want to add, paper trimmer, scissors, wet & dry adhesives, and pictures if you want to add them right away.

Our Sony Picture Station is still out of order. The computer is in California and I'm hoping it will be here in the next week. Right now it is seeming to like the California weather better than MN, and it's taking longer than we expected to get it fixed.

Pictures will be added to the blog tonight or tomorrow, of the Bo Bunny Album that Dora did. You can also see it in person at the store. Sign up early so we will for sure have enough albums to go around.

The store is getting full of new product!

Almost daily, we are getting new product into the store. So we are constantly rearranging the store and finding homes for the new stuff. It's like a puzzle sometimes, and it feels like Christmas everytime we see our delivery guys.

So far this week, we have gotten some Piggy Tales papers (mp3 player, trains, guitars, dinosaurs, and all of these are made from recycled paper!) and Cosmo Cricket. We will have Basic Grey in the store on Friday, and we'll be working quickly to enter it and find a new home for it! Die Cuts With A View has shipped and could show up any day now. We ordered all of the new releases from CHA, including Nana's Nursery (Boy & Girl), Blossoms & Butterflies, Travel, Pets, and Glitter Cardstock. We also ordered lots of paper stacks and mats and Dollar stickers! When it comes in, you will definitely want to come in and check out all the goodies!

Having this blog will make it easier for us to show you what we've gotten in, and it will be a place where we can talk about what we have going on in the store. We will still do weekly newsletters, but sometimes there are unexpected things that come up (or get delivered!) and this is where you will find out about them first! We try to limit our emails to once a week, sometimes twice, because we don't want to fill your inboxes with all the updates, so check here often. We think this will be a fun place to hang out.

This will be a work in progress, and until we find time to play around with the design more, it will be pretty plain.
